THE BRIEF & THE BUILD
A casino-themed wow factor
Hansom Hall is a huge room, and Daniel's family wanted guests to feel the wow factor as soon as they walked in. A custom DJ booth featured Daniel's logo. Moving-head lights and uplights picked up the casino-theme colours around the room.
His logo appeared on the screens as a holding image at the start. A photo slideshow ran during the evening, and a video played during one of the speeches.
At a venue of this scale in central London, load-in timings and liaison with the venue were essential. Duncan organised and coordinated the sound, lighting, custom DJ booth, technicians and screens, and supplied two dancers, Benjy and Kelly, so the room and the entertainment were ready for the guests.
THE PARTY
From Daniel's entrance to the final circle
Daniel's entrance to Lady Gaga's “Poker Face” was one of the night's standout moments. Traditional hora songs accompanied the chair lifting, followed by Mizrahi music as guests lifted him up and down on a flag.
Speeches gave family and friends their moment before the later dance sets brought together contemporary floor-fillers and sing-along classics. The final few songs were another highlight: guests gathered in a big circle, with the family in the middle of the dancefloor.
